Web developer (front end) - Sydney/Melbourne

Responsibilities

• Development of HTML/CSS files based on graphic designs;
• Development of websites using HTML/CSS, JavaScript and server side languages;
• Timely & quality delivery of web related deliverables according to designs and specifications, with an emphasis on user interface look and feel and associated content

Experience and skills

• Extensive experience and understanding of CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, DOM, XML Web services and client side web development;
• High level problem solving skills;
• The ability to rapidly acquire actionable knowledge and skills;
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly, efficiently and with precision;
• Flexible: capable of juggling multiple priorities and willing to do what it takes to meet a critical deadline;
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently or in a team;
• Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen; and
• Experience with Web Analytics would be desirable.

Additionally the successful candidate must:

Web developer (mid-level) - Sydney/Melbourne

Responsibilities

• Timely & quality delivery of products according to designs and specifications, with an emphasis on functions and features;
• Comfortable in dealing with customers and leading implementation projects;
• Have experience in training clients in new technologies;
• Work with Analysts and Designers to produce desired results according to business needs; and
• Active role in supporting site management and maintenance activities including reviewing error/performance logs, search engine configuration, etc.

Experience and skills

• Working knowledge and direct experience as a web developer on commercial websites and applications;
• Experience with at least two server side languages such as PHP and .NET;
• Experience with database management systems MS SQL Server or Oracle;
• Solid technical knowledge of web technologies and mark-up languages including http/https, HTML, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, etc;
• Ability to work in a fluid team environment with technical staff and business representatives;
• High level problem solving skills;
• The ability to rapidly acquire actionable knowledge and skills;
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly, efficiently and with precision; and
• Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen.
